Lazio defender Francesco Acerbi is reportedly waiting for Inter Milan to make a move this summer. He has already rejected a number of offers from other clubs.

However, the Italian giants have not yet put in a bid for the defender. Although, there are chances of a bid being late in the final days of the transfer window.

According to reports, Francesco Acerbi is reportedly waiting for Inter Milan this summer transfer window. However, the Italian giants have not put any bid for the defender. The report also states that the defender is expecting a bid soon from the Nerazzurri. Due to Inter, the defender has shown little interest in joining any other teams.

A number of big teams including A.C Milan and Juventus have shown interest in the defender. However, the interest has been reportedly lukewarm from all sides. Hence, a move to Inter Milan is a priority for the defender. Lazio are also open to selling the 34-year-old defender. They reportedly want to reduce the average age of the squad and want to move a number of veteran players.

According to the report, the Italian giants are reportedly keen to sign a defender to replace Andrea Ranocchia. This is where Acerbi comes in. The defender can be a low-cost option for Inter Milan in the heart of the defense. The reported move will also benefit all the parties as the defender would like to be reunited with his former coach Simone Inzaghi.

Hence, agreeing on personal terms also won’t be a problem. However, the club needs to be fast to make a deal. The report also claims that there are chances other interested clubs’ interest will rise if Inter Milan does not make a move for him. The player is also desperate to leave the club. He has failed to adapt to Sarri’s four-man defense system and even fans of Lazio have started booing him every home game.

He was booed due to the hush celebration he did after scoring in December. This led to the Lazio Ultras releasing a statement that he was no longer welcome in Rome. They also said he would be booed every home game till he leaves the club.
