Due to these sanctions, Chelsea had to back down from the Raphinha talks. Thomas Tuchel rates the winger highly and wanted him at Stamford Bridge. Raphinha had previously agreed on terms with Chelsea and was eyeing a move towards Chelsea but the Transfer Ban hit Chelsea. Unfortunately for Chelsea, Things turned for the worse and Barcelona swooped and has reportedly made agreements with the forward.

Leeds and Raphinha: Polar Opposites

Leeds are currently vanquishing at the bottom of the table and are battling relegation. If Leeds are to get relegated, Raphinha is more than likely to force a move in the summer. And with Spanish outlets claiming he has agreed on terms with Barcelona, he is most likely to make a move in the summer to Camp Nou. The Brazilian has managed to find the back of the net 9 times and assist a further 3 times in the Premier League this season. Leeds have been poor so far this season but Raphinha has been the shining bright light. He’s moving away from Leeds is a blow to them as he was instrumental in the games that they managed to produce a favorable outcome.

Barcelona are on the rise under Xavi. They have demolished Real Madrid 4-0 in El-Classico and are playing good, attractive football. Barcelona have made a couple of good signings and are unloading some unfavorable ones. Barcelona signing Raphinha is a step in the proper direction and the Brazilian with his ankle-breaking skills and pace could be a huge boost.
