Jurgen Klopp is supposedly interested in signing Jarrod Bowen in January, with Liverpool mulling a €50 million bid.

Liverpool have identified Jarrod Bowen as a key target in the winter transfer window, according to Fichajes. As the German strategist attempts to shore up his alternatives in the final third, the club’s sports director Michael Edwards is open to listening to Jurgen Klopp’s desire to sign the West Ham United front.

Bowen, a former Hull City youth system product, has risen to prominence at West Ham as one of the most exciting possibilities in the English market. He joined the Hammers in January 2020, a move that has proven to be a steal as the winger has since established himself as one of the finest attacking players in the Premier League.

In less than two years, Bowen has made 71 competitive appearances for West Ham. His 12 goals and 15 assists may not raise many heads but his overall contributions are significantly bigger. The winger has been particularly dangerous on the break, forming a fantastic relationship with Michail Antonio because of his quickness and dynamism.

Jurgen Klopp has been alerted by Bowen’s ability from set-pieces. The midfielder is also said to be a major admirer of Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp, who is also in dire need of offensive reinforcements in January.

Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah are both scheduled to be sidelined for the early part of 2022 due to AFCON. Thus the German is seeking a short-term substitute for them.

Jarrod Bowen a buy for the Liverpool Future

Bowen, according to Klopp, can cover the vacuum in the frontline. While also providing some much-needed competition on the flanks for Mane and Diogo Jota.

His overall presence in the team has the potential to dramatically increase Liverpool’s offensive depth. Allowing Klopp to rotate his team more effectively. However, Liverpool has a significant challenge. In January, they are mulling a €50 million bid for the former Hull City striker, while West Ham have no plans to sell their treasured possession.

The Hammers have made it clear that they want to qualify for Europe this season. Following which, they must be able to retain their great players. Indeed, David Moyes is trying to bolster his side by re-signing Jesse Lingard permanently.

In their attempt to recruit a winger in January, Liverpool may have to look at other options. They are allegedly interested in Wolves’ Adama Traore, who matches the criteria perfectly and is also available in the winter transfer window.

Bowen played 12 games in the league this season and has scored 2 and assisted 4 from the right. While he might not be the apt replacement for the likes of Mane or Salah currently but he could be one that Liverpool could sign for the next few seasons as a successor for the above-mentioned players.
