They could make a move to sign him before the transfer window ends. Liverpool are in dire need of a midfielder. Therefore signing a sought-after midfielder like Gallagher would do them good. Adding him to the squad will boost their midfield. However, Borussia Dortmund’s Jude Bellingham is still a priority for the Reds. Wolves’ Matheus Nunes is also their top priority for the summer. But Jurgen Klopp would be more than happy to add Conor Gallagher to his messy midfield unit before the transfer window closes. The player’s arrival will help Liverpool to revive their midfield for the rest of the season. The Red’s midfield is not exactly clicking this season so far. Gallagher could be missing pieces that they need.
Conor Gallagher could end up joining Liverpool before the transfer window closes
Liverpool are currently sitting in the 9th position in the Premier League table. The Reds have struggled to perform consistently this season so far. With their starting players injured, and the midfield not clicking in properly this has been a disappointing season so far. Conor Gallagher will add depth to the Liverpool midfield. He is a versatile player and therefore could be used by the Liverpool manager in various positions. The player have featured in 25 matches for Chelsea so far this season. He have had two-goal contributions so far. Liverpool’s midfield is not the same anymore. The player’s age is catching up with them. Therefore the addition of Conor Gallagher would help them to improve their season.
However, signing Conor Gallagher would not be easy. Many other clubs like West Ham, Crystal Palace, and Newcastle United are all interested in signing the player. Furthermore, the player is also unwilling to leave his boyhood club. But if Chelsea manages to sign Enzo Fernandez, they might end up selling Gallagher. It will be interesting to see if any of these clubs are able to sign Gallagher before the transfer window ends.
