Liverpool are preparing an offer for AC Milan star Rafael Leao
Francois Plateau claims that Liverpool is getting ready to make an offer for AC Milan’s Rafael Leao. Also, they may include current star Luis Diaz in a player-plus-cash deal.
According to the journalist, the Portuguese player is seen by those in charge of recruiting for the Reds as the “perfect heir” to Sadio Mane. Who left Anfield to play for German powerhouse Bayern Munich in the summer of last year and is currently based in Saudi Arabia.
Leao, 24, is one of the top offensive players in Europe. He has scored 47 goals for Milan in 182 games across all competitions. The forward’s current contract, which runs until the summer of 2028, was signed when he moved from French club Lille to the Italian team back in 2019.
In January 2022, Diaz moved from Porto to Liverpool, where he has since made 69 appearances in all competitions. In that time, the Columbian international has tallied 16 goals and provided nine assists.
Although Leao has been a regular for Klopp’s team. Plateau says the Liverpool may include Diaz in an offer for the Portugal international. The Premier League team is probably going to make a player-plus-cash offer.
Leao, who has already made 19 appearances for the team this season, may or may not be willing to be sold by Milan.
