LIVERPOOL

Liverpool plans to move for the £52 million-rated Arsenal target in January

Gonçalo Inácio

In the winter transfer window, Liverpool is hoping to sign the 22-year-old central defender Goncalo Inacio, according to a report from Jornal de Noticias via Paisley Gates.

The defender’s contract contains a £52 million release clause, and Sporting CP will only permit his departure in the event that the exit clause is activated. Liverpool will also have to contend with rivals like Tottenham and Arsenal.

Goncalo Inacio: the rising star

The Portuguese team has made Inacio a vital member, and he will help them strengthen their defense. Additionally, he would be the perfect long-term substitute for Joel Matip. Who is currently unable to play for the rest of the season due to an injury.

The 22-year-old Inacio can play left back because of his versatility. Also, he could be a good substitute for Andrew Robertson.

The player will probably find the chance to join the Premier League to be appealing. And he will want to perform to the best of his abilities. Inacio can get that platform from teams like Tottenham, Arsenal, and Liverpool.

The only dependable central defenders for Tottenham are Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven, so it is not surprising that they are considering the 22-year-old. It will be interesting to see if they are willing to cover his January release clause.

As for Arsenal, they need to bring in a top-class partner for William Saliba and Inacio could sort out their defensive unit for the foreseeable future.

It is unclear where the Portuguese international will end up, but he has the ability to benefit all three teams.
