Liverpool man Dominik Szoboszlai says that he wants Erling Haaland to win FIFA The Best Football award. Erling and the Liverpool star have been teammates at RB Salzburg. Though, the fierce rivalry between their present clubs is nothing to be told. The two teams have been fighting with each other for years in the Premier League glory. However, not only these two men but Klopp and Pep are also huge admirers of each other. It is often seeing players from both sides mixing together and living close.
Now, the Hungarian wishes Manchester City man to win the award. Although, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are up on the list. Speaking to Nemzeti Sport, Dominik Szoboszlai was asked about who he wants to see win the upcoming The Best FIFA Football Awards 2023, which is set to take place in London on Monday night.
“I really hope that it’s him [who wins]. Among the candidates, he is the one who I personally know well. We keep in touch. We last talked a few days ago, and I am very happy about his success, I support him.”
This should not come as a surprise to any of the fan bases as the two spent time together at Salzburg. Both of them are very good and close friends. Of course, everyone will wish their friend to win the prize. Despite having bitter rivalry between the clubs, the players are also humans at the end of the day. Perhaps, Liverpool man’s acquisition must not come as a surprise to anyone.
