Liverpool Player Ratings for an unlucky defeat against Leicester City| Tsimikas rated 8

Here we have with us the Liverpool Player Ratings during their surprising defeat against Leicester City. The Foxes took down the Reds 1-0 at the King Power Stadium during their Premier League clash on Wednesday.

An utterly disappointing performance has now put questions on Liverpool’s title charge, with now a 6 point gap between them and the table toppers Manchester City.

Even though Jurgen Klopp’s side were the better and more dominating team, one chance was all it took for the Foxes to break the fans’ hearts. As the Reds kept pushing for an opener, a mistake by Wilfred Ndidi of taking down Mohamed Salah in the penalty box could have proven costly. However, the Egyptian got unlucky twice as he missed the penalty and the rebound from the save from Leicester’s Kasper Schmeichel.

The Merseyside outfit came back in the second-half with full force but seemed a bit sloppy. Crucial and easy chances were missed by Sadio Mane and Diogo Jota as the Liverpool trio failed to get on the scoresheet. A great play by the Foxes’ Dewsbury-Hall and Ademola Lookman saw the latter score the game’s only difference maker, with the game ending 1-0.
