According to reports, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu want to sign two new faces to their attacking lineup in the summer transfer window. On top of that, they also want to sign a new central midfielder and backup right-back.

But it is almost certain that the club will sign a new striker in the summer transfer window. Arsenal let go of club captain star striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang on a free transfer in the January transfer window after a fallout with manager Mikel Arteta.

While Alexandre Lacazette is also out of contract in the summer. There are no signs whether the striker will sign a new deal or not. Alongside Lacazette young academy striker Eddie Nketiah is also out of contract in the summer and looks certain to leave the club on a free transfer in the summer.

Alexander Isak certainly tops the Arsenal striker wishlist for the summer window. While Everton forwards Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen are also on the list.

But the Mirror have reported that Liverpool have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Alexandre Isak in the summer transfer window. Fellow Premier League giants Manchester United are also scouting the Swedish striker.

The Arsenal faithful are fearful that Liverpool may hijack Arsenal’s deal to sign the Swedish striker. Just like they hijacked Tottenham Hotspurs’ deal to sign Poto winger Luis Diaz. Tottenham were reported to be in negotiations and made a bid for the winger. But Liverpool came out of nowhere and snapped up the winger within days.

Is Alexander Isak the perfect striker option for Arsenal?

Isak is considered one of the best young strikers in the world. Despite not enjoying one of his best seasons in front of the goal the striker is still very highly rated. The striker has made a total of 32 appearances in all competitions this term. In this time he has recorded eight goals and three assists. (stats via Transfermarkt)

The striker has a £75 million release clause in his current contract. But the Spanish side are willing to let the Swedish striker go for a fee close to £60 million in the summer transfer window. Arsenal currently possesses one of the most exciting young forward lines in the world. Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Emile Smith Rowe are all key factors in Arsenal’s success this term. Isak will be the perfect fit to lead the Arsenal frontline for years to come.
