Liverpool, United and PSG lock horns over Franck Kessie

According to reports, Liverpool, Manchester United and PSG will battle it out for in-demand midfielder Franck Kessie.

The 24-year-old Serie A star has entered the final year of his current deal at San Siro. Milan is struggling to meet the midfielder’s wage demands on a potential new deal. If this continues, he could head for an exit.

The Italian outfit does not want to lose their best stars on a free transfer. This happened when they were unable to generate a financial return on Gianluigi Donnarumma’s sale.

Liverpool to rival Franck Kessie suitors

The Italian goalkeeper joined PSG this summer on a free deal. However, it seems like the French giants are also keen on snapping up Kessie now as they look to add quality in midfield.

PSG are readying up to offer the Ivorian a salary of €12,000,000, including bonuses. This figure is twice (€6,000,000) of what AC Milan have offered the midfielder.

However, the final decision ultimately lies with the former Atalanta man. Manchester United could face tough competition with PSG joining the mix.

The Red Devils are eyeing the 24-year-old as a replacement for Paul Pogba, given his uncertain future. Like Kessie, Pogba also has a year left on his deal and is yet to sign an extension. While big names including PSG, Juventus, and Real Madrid are lining up for a swoop.

On the other hand, Liverpool will prioritise signing Kessie who brings a host of experiences to the table. He could potentially be available for a bargain price in January or even for free in the summer.

While the speculation surrounding Kessie has seemed to ‘distract‘ him. He seems keen to find a resolution in the coming weeks.
