Antonio Nusa

Chelsea’s 27-year-old midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek has been making headlines recently for his versatility on the pitch. Despite being known for playing as a  box-to-box midfielder, he has been playing in an unnatural position for the team in recent matches. In a recent interview, he revealed that he doesn’t mind playing in this position if it helps the team.

The Chelsea Boss has made him play in a right wingback position in recent games because of injuries to Reece James and Cesar Azpilicueta. But, what is admirable is that Loftus-Cheek has stepped up to the challenge very well.

What did Loftus-Cheek say in the Interview?

In a recent interview with Sky Sports, Loftus-Cheek spoke about his willingness to play in an unnatural position for the team. He said,

“I don’t mind playing in a different position if it helps the team. I’ve played in a lot of different positions in my career, so I’m used to it. I just want to help the team win.”

This kind of attitude is exactly what makes Loftus-Cheek such a valuable player for Chelsea. Furthermore, his versatility and willingness to play wherever the team needs him is a testament to his commitment and dedication to the club.

It will be interesting to see where Loftus-Cheek fits in the team when other players start returning from their injuries. As Chelsea fans are delighted to see him performing so well even in an unnatural position. Regardless of where he plays, it is clear that Loftus-Cheek will always give his all for the team. And that is something that every Chelsea fan can be proud of.
