The RCB women are all set to appoint a new head Coach, Luke Williams, for Wpl 2024.Previously, Ben Sawyer was the head coach for the RCB women. Luke Williams will be replacing the former in the position of head coach.

RCB WOMEN NEW HEAD COACH: LUKE WILLIAMS

Luke William was a former Australian cricketer who played in five first-class matches for South Australia in 2000-2005. In addition, he was the coach for the South Australian Scorpions and the Adelaide Strikers in the Women’s Big Bash League in Australia.

In the Wpl 2023, the RCB women team had the most forgetful season despite the big names. Smriti Mandhana and company finished fourth in the points table, second last. They lost six out of eight matches. Smriti Mandhana, in the last edition, had scored 149 runs in eight innings. Moreover, she was roped in by the RCB franchise for a whopping INR 3.4 Cr. She was the most expensive buy for the first season of the WPL. Other prominent features in the team were Sophie Devine, Ellyse Perry, and Heather Knight.

Despite the best International features, RCB women’s performance raised eyebrows. So is the reason for the RCB franchise’s inclusion of a new head coach. Mike Hesson had also left his position as director of cricket for both Men’s and women’s teams of the RCB franchise in August.
