Malo Gusto could join Chelsea by the end of this month

If Lyon agrees to the deal offered by Chelsea, they are hoping to get Malo Gusto back for a loan deal. Lyon hopes to offer a loan deal to the player for at least till the end of the season. However, the Blues are not too keen on this plan. They are said to offer resistance to Lyon’s plans on offering the right-back a loan deal. Malo Gusto is not very unhappy with the Ligue 1 side. However, this interest from Chelsea is very hard for him to repel. The player have shown interest in joining the Blues as this offer from Chelsea is difficult for him to decline. Chelsea are keen on signing a right-back as an alternative for Reece James who had a misfortune with injuries. The England international even missed out on the World Cup due to his injury.

James is believed to be one of the best right-backs in the Premier League. It would a bit of a challenge for Gusto to fill up those high standards. Chelsea have reportedly offered a long-term contract to the player. Hopefully, that would give him enough time to settle in at Stamford Bridge.
