Antonio Conte has opened up about Manchester United after the Erik Ten Hag appointment as Manchester United manager. Antonio Conte was one of the candidates for United manager in November. However, United chose Ralf Rangnick as interim manager and will take a consultancy role in the Summer. Conte eventually chose Tottenham and has impressed by taking them to 4th place.
Conte in a recent interview spoke out about Manchester United. “For sure we are talking about a big club, an important club,” said Conte on Thursday afternoon. “Don’t forget that last season United were in second place and improve the squad with Varane, Sancho and Ronaldo.
It’s strange but they’ve improved the squad and have done worse than last season. It shows it’s not easy, particularly in England. In England it’s a big job for every manager, the level is so high. When you’re at Man Utd the pressure is massive. You have to fight to win trophies. It’s not easy because other teams have the same idea”

Erik Ten Hag was apologetic towards the Ajax supporters. “It will be difficult to leave Ajax after these incredible years, and I can assure our fans of my complete commitment and focus on bringing this season to a successful conclusion before I move to Manchester United,”

Erik Ten Hag has won 5 trophies in his time at Ajax and is on the quest for a 6th. Ten Hag has been widely praised by the footballing world and has achieved wonders with Ajax. He is responsible for creating world class players – David Neres, Frenkie De Jong, Matheus de Ligt, Donny Van De Beek. His greatest achievement is getting a young Ajax team into the Semi finals of the Champions League where they lost to Tottenham on away goals. However, their road to semi final included defeating the likes of Real Madrid and Juventus.
Ten Hag will be looking to change the squad and bring in some fresh new faces. Ten Hag will rebuild the squad to suit his playstyle. Expect a lot of players in the United squad to get the axe.
