According to The Mirror, Man United is ready to let Paul Pogba leave if he lets the club know that he wants to leave. He will enter the last six months of his contract in the next month. Therefore, other clubs will be allowed to approach him for a free transfer in the summer. It is also the last chance for United to cash in on the midfielder.

United expects that Frenchman won’t leave the club in winter and will only be sold in the summer if the player hands a transfer request. Paul Pogba is a player who is always surrounded by speculations. He is linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the past two seasons. Moreover, his agent Mino Raiola has also been very clear about how likely it is for Pogba to leave United.

The 28-year-old midfielder had a flying start to the season where he assisted 4 goals in just one game. He has the third-most assists (7) in the league in just 9 appearances. However, he failed to get on to the momentum he had at the start and started to degrade later. Now he is sidelined due to an injury and may return to full training in a few weeks.

Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain were all interested in signing the Frenchman and may as well be his potential destinations. However, Pogba has not played under Rangnick yet and both manager and player should give each other a chance to see if there’s a future for the player at the club.

Why Man United are insisting Pogba for transfer request?

Paul Pogba has had some good moments and some bad moments at Manchester United. He is constantly linked with a move away from United and that is certainly not a good sign for the club. Pogba has won a few trophies under Mourinho at Man United. However, he was not in good terms with the Portuguese manager later on. Nevertheless, Pogba on his day is one of the best midfielders in the game. He can influence a game single-handedly.

Moreover, Manchester United signed the Frenchman for a then-world record fee of £89.3 million. However, United won’t be able to get as much as they paid for the Frenchman now. It is because of his lack of game time and the controversies he had at the club. As a result, Man United are reluctant to let Pogba leave without a transfer request. If the player completely expresses his desire to leave the club then and only the door is open.

If the reports are believed to be true then Pogba might get a chance to play under Rangnick if he does not hand in a transfer request. He can either thrive under Rangnick because of the attacking play. However, it can also go wrong due to the high pressing of Rangnick’s system. Man United should do something to handle Pogba and his agent who has mostly been the root cause for Pogba’s speculations. Moreover, the Frenchman himself has never mentioned that he wants to leave the club.
