Manchester City have reportedly rejected a mega bid from PSG for their playmaker Bernardo Silva. Pep Guardiola is determined to keep the player beyond the transfer market.

Hence, Barcelona bids were also rejected by the Premier League giants. The Premier League champions are also ready to offer him a new contract once the transfer market ends.

BERNARDO SILVA AND PSG TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Manchester City have rejected a mega bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Bernardo Silva. The bid reportedly made this week was £68m (€80m). However, the Premier League giants quickly rejected the offer. Bernardo Silva is still very much in the plans of Pep Guardiola. Also, another thing is there is only a week before the transfer window ends.

If City sells Bernardo Silva now, getting a talented player like him in such a short span of time will be very difficult. However, PSG are going to bid again for the playmaker. There are also reports claiming that Bernardo Silva is waiting for the Barcelona offer. However, that is also unlikely as Barcelona are struggling to sell Frenkie De Jong. Hence, there is hope that Silva will stay at Manchester City.

PEP GUARDIOLA IS ALSO VERY HAPPY TO KEEP HIM AT MANCHESTER CITY

Pep Guardiola has also said that he is more than happy to keep Bernardo Silva at the club. However, he has admitted uncertainty around the situation. This is because the transfer window is still open. He said, “He knows our wishes as a club, me as a manager, and even his mates. What is going to happen? I don’t know.”

Manchester City hierarchy is also trying to convince Bernardo Silva to stay at the club. They are keeping a hard stance to keep the player. When asked about Silva’s move to Barca, Man City CEO Ferran Soriano said: “There are no discussions or talks for Bernardo Silva. There’s no Bernardo case.“Manchester City market can be considered closed, it’s over.”

Hence, the hard stance by the club and mega valuation of 80 million for the playmaker looks to be enough to keep him at the club. Bernardo Silva in the last season scored 13 goals for Manchester City which helped them retain the Premier League title.
