Manchester United are interested and want to make a move for Brighton winger Kaoru Mitoma.

According to The Sun, United sent scouts to monitor Mitoma, as they will face Brighton & Hove Albion in FA Cup semifinals. The 25-year-old has shown great form as he has scored nine goals and provided three assists this season. Brighton paid just £2.7m for the winger from Japanese side Kawasaki Frontale.

The Japanese international has been a revelation of the season, delivering top-notch performances down the left wing for Brighton. His high-intensity style of play has caught attention of Eric Ten Hag and want him at the Old Trafford.

However, Evan Ferguson and Moises Caicedo are also two Brighton players who are impressing everyone. The Seagulls have shown a good form this season and will like to finish at the top half of the Premier League table.

Fabrizio Romano reported last month that Arsenal are also interested in Mitoma and suggested that he could be worth around £35m. However, Real Madrid and Manchester City have all been linked with a summer move for Mitoma.

BRIGHTON CHIEF PRAISED MITOMA FOR HIS EXPLOITS THIS SEASON

Brighton chief Paul Barbar told The Beautiful Game Podcast about Mitoma. He said:-

“He’s another player that no doubt is going to be in the spotlight again come the next transfer window, but we’re ready for that and we understand that.

“We just hope he can have another second half to the season in the way that he has started it.”

Moreover, Mitoma will have lot of interest from the top clubs, but Brighton need to be very careful about his future. The Japanese international has lot of potential to become successful in the modern game.

Before going for Mitoma, Manchester United first need to offload some of their players in the summer.

United Manager Ten Hag is going for the treble this season. Red Devils already won the Carabao Cup and will look go for Premier League trophy and Europa League.

Mitoma will be an exceptional signing for United, but they will face tough competition from other big clubs in Europe. Although, Brighton will look to keep him by extending his contact.
