MANCHESTER UNITED AND ALVARO MORATA TRANSFER LINKS FULL STORY

According to reports, Manchester United are desperate to bring in a forward this summer. The report also states that the Red Devils are interested in Alvaro Morata. Morata is currently back at Atletico Madrid following his loan spell with Juventus. However, Juventus do not want to sign the forward this summer. The Italian giants reportedly want to sign Memphis Depay on a free transfer from Barcelona.

Hence, the La Liga giants are offering the forward to a number of teams. United were one of the teams who were offered the chance to sign Morata last week. However, there was no movement on the transfer. Although, movements have increased within Manchester United’s management circle. However, there are suggestions that Manchester United will have to pay an enormous price for the forward.

IS ALVARO MORATA WORTH THE HUGE FEE THIS SUMMER?

The report states that the Premier League club will have to pay at least €60m (£50.7m) to sign the Spaniard. At the starting of the window, Madrid would have only demanded €30m for the forward. However, his value has increased in recent weeks. The 29-year-old forward scored twice against Getafe in a 3-0 victory in the opening game.

There are also suggestions that the La Liga side is trying to take advantage of the bad situation at Manchester United. However, United are taking a big risk if they are going to sign him. Morata found it difficult to play with Chelsea in the Premier League. He only managed to score 24 goals in 72 appearances for Chelsea. Hence, this move is a big risk for the forward and the club.

However, Morata will bring a winning mentality to Manchester United. He has helped Real Madrid win two La Liga titles, two Copa del Rey crowns, and two Champions League trophies. He also helped Juventus win two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia crowns. The forward also won FA Cup and Europa League with Chelsea. Hence, it will not be such a bad signing for Manchester United.
