Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and football director John Murtough, both have agreed on prioritizing on signing Erling Haaland next summer. The Red Devils have already signed one of the world’s best forwards this summer, Cristiano Ronaldo. But adding the Portuguese star seems to be not working successfully, following which Solskjaer seems to see Haaland in the United shirt.
Erling Haaland will be the top target next summer with his price being between 75-100 million. While the clubs will be lurking around the Norwegian in January to have a pre-agreement for next season. However, it will be hard for any “one” club to lead the race for signing the Borussia Dortmund star.
The forward is currently on top of his form scoring in almost every game which has taken his goal tally for Dortmund to 70 goals in 68 games. Following which Dortmund are trying hard to not let go of their star striker so soon. Dortmund are currently reported to be offering a new high-earning contract, but the youngster is yet to think about that.
In between all of this Haaland chaos at Dortmund, Manchester United has listed the youngster as a top priority for next summer. United football director, John Murtough and manager Solskjaer, both agree on needing Haaland at the upfront for Red Devils next season. Following this, Manchester United are going to be participating in a hard-end battle for signing Erling Haaland.
Why are Manchester United & Solskjaer are prioritizing Haaland transfer next summer?
Manchester United are currently not in a good form as the team is finding it difficult to win most of their games. And that’s also despite having one of the lethal strikers, Cristiano Ronaldo beside them at upfront. The Red Devils signed back their former player, Ronaldo this summer to have a scoring man upfront. While Ronaldo is certainly doing the job f but that doesn’t seem to be working for United.
Following this United manager, Solskjaer wants more firepower at the upfront and has listed Erling Haaland as a top target. However only listing him will not do the job as the club has to spend a huge amount of money. While United also have to show a winning mentality, lifting some major titles if they want to sign the youngster.
