Manchester United could get a new manager next season

A manager swap could take place between Manchester United and Bayern Munich in the upcoming season as Thomas Tuchel will leave the Allianz Arena. Additionally, Erik Ten Hag’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain right now. The Bundesliga giants are looking at Ralf Rangnick as a potential replacement for Tuchel. However, the search for Tuchel’s successor continues. Rangnick is currently preparing to lead Austria for the Euro 2024 this summer. The German football coach had a disastrous time as the interim manager at Manchester United. According to sources, Thomas Tuchel is looking to move to the Premier League. If an opportunity arises, the ex-Chelsea manager will be happy to take the Dutchman’s role at Old Trafford. However, Erik Ten Hag is confident about his role at Old Trafford next season.

Erik Ten Hag has always faced injury issues at Old Trafford

Manchester United have suffered this season due to the absence of several players. Many of Man United’s players have been out with injuries. Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Anthony Martial are some of the players that were out for months. Erik Ten Hag has had to work with limited players, almost leaving him with no option for United’s defense. Moreover, in last few games, Casemiro had to play in the centre-back position because of injury struggles.

After Manchester United’s devastating 4-0 loss to Crystal Palace, Ten Hag said,

“If the right players are available, we have a good squad. We miss almost the whole backline and then we have problems.”

Despite all these problems, the Red Devils could still win silverware this season. Manchester United are in the FA Cup finals which will take place on 25th May. A win for the Red Devils will be massive in this disappointing campaign. Moreover, it will also help secure Ten Hag’s job. Manchester City are the favorites to win the trophy, however, the Red Devils cannot be underestimated.
