Another player will be accompanying Donny Van De Beek in his exit from Manchester United as Dean Henderson is looking for a move-out. The Red Devil’s goalkeeper is ready to change clubs in the January transfer window.

Henderson was set to be Man Utd’s no.1 GK this season, however, his illness early in the season has brought him a huge setback. David De Gea took over from the Englishman and his been in top form ever since.

It is believed that Dean is looking for a move away from Manchester due to his lack of playing time. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s is not ready to give the player a chance to prove his caliber and hence he is ready for a new turf to progress his career.

Why Dean Henderson should leave Manchester?

The 24-year-old player is one of the best shot stoppers in the Premier League. A Man Utd academy graduate, Dean Henderson has proved himself consistently over the years. The player went on loan to Sheffield United in 2018 but never made an appearance. However, in the 2019/20 season, the Englishman was debatably the best GK in the period.

Backed by Sheffield’s backline, Henderson in 36 appearances kept 13 clean sheets and made a total of 97 saves. He was pivotal in the Blades success in the season. Coming back to Old Trafford after a splendid season, he was expected to replace De Gea as the team’s first choice GK. However, in 13 appearances he kept just 4 clean sheets. While this season, in Dean’s absence, the Spaniard has been a solid wall at the back. After a lot of criticism, De Gea is now in top form and is saving almost everything the oppositions throw at him. It is becoming harder each day for Henderson to replace his Spanish senior.

Man Utd could have a setback after Henderson’s exit

While De Gea has been the best GK this season, his form is still doubted by many. It is believed that he is inconsistent and could turn off any given day. The Red Devil’s cant really depend on him as he is also 31 now.

Hence, Henderson could still takeover if the time calls for him and it would be a huge loss for the Red Devils to let go of a goalkeeper with such potential. He is highly being linked to a move to Newcastle United, which is also a team in a rebuilding phase and suits the GK well.

However, if his game time is managed well, the player could still be open to spending another season at the Old Trafford.
