Premier League has made a note about Manchester United‘s situation. As a result, United’s Tuesday clash with Brentford is in danger of suspension. However, there is no official statement from United as the players who are negative are still unclear and not mentioned. Norwich are also hit with a covid outbreak and are without some of their key players. Tottenham Hotspurs‘ Conference League match against Rennes was called off as Spurs are also suffering from a coronavirus outbreak. In addition, their Premier League fixture against Brighton last week was also postponed.

Manchester United traveled to Norwich City where the Canaries gave a tough time to the Red Devils. Norwich had very good opportunities even with very few players in the squad. A Cristiano Ronaldo penalty gave United the important three points. However, Manchester United are now struggling from a coronavirus outbreak after playing with a covid struck Norwich City.

Why the coronavirus outbreak is the worst news for Manchester United?

Manchester United started the season on the wrong foot and must get out of this situation. They parted ways with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and appointed Ralf Rangnick as their interim manager. Rangnick has managed three games and has shown his identity in a very short span of time. However, Rangnick needs his whole Manchester United squad to get them somewhere. The German boss is now getting to know his players and experimenting with the squad to get the perfect result.

The coronavirus outbreak at Manchester suddenly takes 3-4 good players out of the squad and some of the staff members too. Also, there are still chances that more players will get infected. Moreover, this can lead to postponing of matches in the league and everywhere else. The rescheduling will ensure that United have another fixture congestion. They are in need of a series of good wins to recover their season. Rescheduled matches increase the chances of a tough run of fixtures and with no guarantee about when will the infected players return.

Many United players and staff members have previously been a victim of the virus. However, it can be more dangerous now as there is a possibility that some matches may get postponed. Rangnick used his academy players in the Champions League fixture. Although United have good depth in their squad, some are returning from injuries and then some may have tested positive. Manchester United have a real test in their hands with this coronavirus outbreak.
