Erling Haaland has reportedly rejected advances from Manchester United. United are willing to make any kind of offer however Haaland has no intention of joining the Red Devils.
Haaland has been eyeing a move to the big leagues for some time now. Haaland is to leave Borussia Dortmund at the end of the season. Priced at a measly 65m, Haaland has set his sights on either Real Madrid or Manchester City. The prospect of working with Pep Guardiola has made choosing difficult for the striker.
Manchester United left out of the Race
Haaland has rejected Manchester United‘s advances and doesn’t want to play at Old Trafford. According to reports, he expects uncertainty if he is to move to United, Haaland desires to move to a club with real “Sporting Prospect”.
United desperately needs a striker in the transfer window. With Edinson Cavani leaving and Cristiano Ronaldo unsure of their future, Manchester United are in the market for a young striker. Erling Haaland and Harry Kane were two potential targets for United. As Haaland has rejected United, Kane seems to be the option for United moving on.
Haaland almost joined United a couple of years ago when his contract at RB Salzburg was at its final stages. Ole Gunnar Solskaer had a good relationship with him and wanted him at United at all costs. United almost finalized the deal with agent Mino Raiola until it collapsed due to release clauses and wage issues. And Haaland ended up joining Dortmund.
Should United move in for Harry Kane?
Manchester United does need a striker in the Summer. Harry Kane is a tremendous player and has made significant records at Tottenham Hotspurs. However, he has been unable to lift trophies at Spurs and is to leave Spurs in the Summer. United should move in for Kane as Kane has proved time after time why he is the best striker in the League. United could get a good couple of years from him. Kane started the season off poorly unable to find his feet however under Antonio Conte, he has managed to rejuvenate himself. United should go all out for Kane in the Summer as he could prove to be a great addition to the team.
