Manchester United have made contact with Napoli to sign Victor Osimhen. They need to reinforce their strike force this summer transfer window.

MANCHESTER UNITED AND VICTOR OSIMHEN TRANSFER LINK FULL STORY.

Although, the links are justified. Manchester United desperately needs a striker. Cavani has already left the club. Ronaldo is not getting younger any day soon and is out of contract next summer. They desperately need a young forward to replace the club legend. Last season was also bad in terms of goals. Only Ronaldo (24) and Fernandes (10) managed to reach double figures last season. This is the reason Victor Osimhen might be the perfect player for Manchester United.

THE DEAL FOR THE NIGERIAN STRIKER IS VERY COMPLICATE

The report also claims that club president Aurelio De Laurentiis values the forward at 110million euros (£95 m). They also claim they won’t sell the forward for a fee of less than 100 million euros. The high asking price has driven the suitors away. Napoli is also ready to offer him an improved contract.

Although, Newcastle United have not gone away. They have shown that they are ready to make a big investment to sign the African star. However, the Nigerian forward is not keen on a move to Magpies. He wants to play European football this season.

Last season, Osimhen featured in 32 games in all competitions. For the Naples-based side, he was involved in 24 goals ( 18 goals & 6 assists). For Nigeria, he has scored 15 goals in 18 starts. In recent African Cup of Nations qualification fixtures, he was in form. He scored the winning goal against Sierra Leone. The forward directly contributed in 6 goals in the 10-o win over Sao Tome and Principle.
