Manchester United legend Roy Keane has made a staggering admission stating that he would have loved to play under Jurgen Klopp.
The Irishman reflects on Klopp’s influence at Liverpool since arriving at the club in 2015, during which he paved the way for the Reds as serious premier league title contenders and transformed them into one of Europe’s leading sides.
Liverpool have garnered many accolades under Klopp. Most noteworthy accomplishments are the Champions League, Premier League, Club World Cup and many more. Liverpool have managed to win eight major trophies with Klopp at the helm. The number of trophies collected are unjust because of the quality of football played by the Reds under Klopp. The Reds were struggling for a place in the top four before Klopp’s appointment and since then have truly flourished.
As a pundit, Keane told Sky Sports that
“Look at the bigger picture and what he’s done for this football club and it is fantastic.“

Roy Keane appreciated Klopp for being straightforward in front of the cameras. Keane admires Klopp because of his honesty and the fact that Klopp isn’t shy from expressing his opinions openly. Keane states he would have loved the opportunity to play under him.
The United legend says:
“He seems a very honest manager and I always try to picture if I was a player back in the day, I think I’d like to play for this guy.
“Huge respect for what he’s done with the club from his personality to style of football. They’re back competing at the highest level.”
Roy Keane’s praise over Klopp is a surprise as Keane had confessed that the Liverpool boss had cringed him out in his early days as a manager.
