Former Manchester United defender thinks Everton will win 1-0 against United this weekend

Manchester United defender Patrice Evra thinks that the players at Old Trafford will have already lost their trust in manager Erik Ten Hag. Moreover, in the predictions for the weekend match against Everton, the defender has tipped the Toffees to be the winner. His predictions are based on the 6-3 defeat against Manchester City last weekend. Phil Foden and Erling Haaland both scored a hattrick apiece in the match.

In his weekend predictions blog for the Metro, Evra worded it as follows:

“This is a tough one. The question is, have United recovered from the derby? It’s always difficult to play against the Toffees, this is always a difficult game. That’s not the place I want United to go to right now. Unfortunately, I think Everton will win.

Evra also believes that the players may have already lost their confidence in Ten Hag following the defeat. He also believes that the players will look to blame Ten Hag for their failures on the pitch. He wrote:

United upset me so much against City and they brought back some bad memories. Is the team strong enough to recover that fast? I don’t know. I think the players and manager will have lost a bit of trust following the derby, some players get sensitive when a manager calls them out after a game, players like to blame people.”

Currently, Manchester United sits seventh in the Premier League table with four wins and three losses so far in the tournament. United takes on Everton this weekend. A recent win in the Europa League against Omonia will have boosted their morale considerably after the 6-3 thrashing at the hands of rivals Manchester City.
