Manchester United are reportedly looking to complete three transfers to boost the squad before pre-season. They are Barcelona’s Frenkie De Jong, Porto’s Vitinha, and Derby County’s Malcolm Ebiowei.
THE NAMES OF TRANSFERS LINKED WITH MANCHESTER UNITED
The Red Devils will be back in pre-season training later this month. The squad will then travel to Australia and Thailand as a part of their preparations for the 2022-23 campaign. A number of players are linked with a move to Old Trafford.
Erik Ten Hag looks to put together a squad who are capable of returning to the top four in the Premier League next term. As mentioned in the early reports Frenkie De Jong Barcelona’s midfielder continues to be the top target this summer. The report also claims Porto midfielder Vitinha and Derby youngster Ebiowei are also clubs’ top triple targets this summer.
THE CURRENT REPORT OF THE SITUATION OF THE TRIPLE DEALS
Manchester United remains in discussions with Barca over the transfers for the Dutch midfielder. The Catalan side are open to selling the Dutch this summer as it will ease their financial concerns. The player is relaxed about the situation. Vitinha has recently linked with the Red Devils. Although, PSG are now very close to agreeing a move to France.
The French champions have activated the €40m (£34.8m) release clause in his contract. Although, the Portuguese midfielder will keep his options open until the end. Ebiowei, the Derby youngster is linked with a move to Old Trafford. The attacker’s contract is due to expire at the end of June. He is yet to agree a new deal with Wayne Rooney’s side. Derby is entitled to a compensation fee if Ebiowei departs for a free transfer.
Manchester United has linked with a number of transfers across the whole window. The club are looking to improve the whole squad across all positions. However, talk of a center-forward has quietened since it was confirmed Darwin Nunez has joined Liverpool. United however has to make transfers fast to avoid competition from other clubs. Manchester United need the transfers for more firepower.
