According to the Manchester Evening News, Manchester United are considering talks with Franck Kessie, Boubacar Kamara, and Denis Zakaria to sign as a midfielder in January. Players like Donny van de Beek, Paul Pogba, and Jesse Lingard may leave the club soon. Therefore, United needs a replacement and depth in their squad once these players leave.
Manchester United are considering trimming their squad in January which will give them space to make some new additions. Moreover, a midfielder is where their focus should be and have the right interests. United have not dominated the midfield for many matches and that seems to be a visible weakness for other teams.
Moreover, even Rangnick‘s appointment hasn’t brought much change to their playing. According to a few recent reports, Rangnick seems to have been losing the dressing room. Some new signings which will help improve their gameplay might lift up the mood in the dressing room too.

Boubacar Kamara
He can be termed as the ‘destroyer’ as he likes to break opponent plays and is very aggressive when trying to win the ball back. Moreover, he has good physicality and aerial dominance which supports his aggression. He can even use his long legs to lunge into tackles and stop important attacks and make crucial blocks. United are currently the frontrunners to sign the Marseille midfielder.
Franck Kessie
Franck Kessie is an all-around midfielder who can do the defensive work and also has a goal in him. He likes to operate with a partner and his abilities to get away from defenders can help United launch a counter. Moreover, he is also very physical and can do a good amount of work to win the ball back. However, United will face some competition from Tottenham, Real Madrid, PSG to sign Kessie.
Denis Zakaria
He is also a very similar player to Franck Kessie. Zakaria does not stop running and is a strong presence in the midfield. He is also a great tackler and fine passer of the ball. United needs this kind of player who can break plays and immediately distribute. Moreover, he has already confirmed that he will leave his current club once his deal expires.
Manchester United must have one of the players on their midfield shortlist. This is a weakness that is being highlighted for quite a few years and there is still no solution for it. However, one or two signings can solve this question but the recruitment should be just right and not something else than required.
