Manchester United hierarchy is still backing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite the team’s disappointing run of form.

Manchester United have lost four of their previous seven fixtures in all competitions. The most recent league defeat at Leicester City had many Manchester United fans questioning if Ole Gunnar is the right head coach to lead the team forward. He just signed a new three-year deal in July 2021 with an option to extend for another year.

But according to the Athletic, Ole Gunnar’s position as Manchester United head coach is ‘100% secure’. Ole Gunnar retains the support of the Manchester United board.

Manchester United are still yet to win a trophy in the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer regime. Coming closest in the UEFA Europa League final defeat against Villareal at the end of last season. But with the addition of Cristiano Ronaldo, Rafael Varane, Jadon Sancho over the summer Manchester United were considered as potential title contenders. But the story has been very different than expected.

According to reports, Ole Gunnar has a lot of credit in the bank at the board level due to his extraordinary work still initially arriving as the intern Manchester United head coach.

Manchester United now have a scary run of fixtures coming up with Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham as the next four Premier League fixtures. United will now face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday.

£70m transfer budget for Ole Gunnar in January transfer window

According to reports, Ole Gunnar will further £70m to spend in the January transfer window. But only under the condition that the team is doing well and in challenging for the Premier League title.

Historically, Ole Gunnar’s Manchester United have always done well when under pressure. Manchester United fand and the board will be hoping it is another case of that.
