According to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, Jurrien Timber and Antony are not the only names Ten Hag wants to add. He also said Manchester United are staying mum on their business this time around while going for deals.

New Man United boss Erik Ten Hag took over the reins of the Old Trafford outfit after the end of the recently concluded season but he is still waiting for the first incoming of the transfer window for his side. The Red Devils will look to reinforce their squad after a disappointing season.

They are now closing on a deal for the Ajax Amsterdam winger, Antony. Ajax can accept a fee of around £40million which will possibly be the first signing of the Ten Hag era. Informal talks held between the player and club mention that Antony is keen on a reunion with his manager. Now with the completion of this move will Antony’s teammate, Timber also consider a move? That remains unanswered.

Previously, the defender said he wanted to stay at Amsterdam for 1 more season. Other than that, Louis Van Gaal also said switching clubs for Timber won’t be a smart move with World Cup nearing.

What Romano said on the possible transfer targets of Manchester United

According to several reports, Ajax put up a price of £36 million for the 21 year old defender. With the interest of Manchester United, Dutch journalist Mike Verweij claimed that the Red Devils are ready to pay up to £111.5 million for the Ajax duo.

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano also threw light on Man United’s transfer targets. Romano said: “I’m sure that there are other targets that they want to try to keep secret as part of the market.”

He further added: “I would say that these are not the only names for Manchester United. I’m sure that they are working on many possibilities.”
