Manchester United are to offload a couple of players in the Summer. The list includes 4 prominent players and United are hoping to reduce 750,000 Euros in wages.
Interim Manager Ralf Rangnick is to take on a consultancy role at end of the season. A new manager is to come in at end of the season with Mauricio Pochettino and Erik Ten Hag being the frontrunners. According to sources, Julian Lopetegui and Luis Enrique are also in the talks. However, at the moment, An official word is yet to come in.
United have the biggest wage bill in the Premier League more than that of Manchester City and Liverpool. United will be looking to axe some players to reduce their wage bill. Four United players will be out of contract this summer namely Paul Pogba, Juan Mata, Edinson Cavani, and Jesse Lingard.
Paul Pogba
Paul Pogba is to move towards one of the Spanish giants Barcelona or Real Madrid or even join the sinking PSG ship. Pogba arrived at Old Trafford for a record fee of 89m from Juventus and has had a dry spell in his years at the club. Pogba has managed to be consistently inconsistent for United and United are happy to let him leave. The Frenchman has produced some absolute blinders in some games and went on to have uninspiring performances for the next 5 games.
Edinson Cavani
Edinson Cavani in his short period at the club has managed to make an impact at United. Even though the Uruguayan hasn’t been able to perform this season. Cavani has only managed to make 3 starts so far in the league owing to injuries and United will allow him to leave. Cavani is most likely to move to Barcelona who requires an experienced striker. However, Cavani has a cult status at United and came in at a difficult time at the club. United will be thankful for his services.
Jesse Lingard
Lingard has had an uninspiring season so far. After rejuvenating his career after a loan to West Ham last season, Lingard was hoping to recreate his form at United. However, he has failed to do so and United wants to cut ties with him. Lingard is linked with Newcastle United and is most likely to move towards them in the Summer.
Juan Mata
Juan Mata is a United legend. Even though he has fallen off in recent times, his contributions to the club will never be forgotten. Once known as the Golden Boy for United, Mata has been unable to recreate his previous form at United in recent seasons and which is most likely due to aging. Mata is rumored to retire at the end of the season and take on the role of an ambassador. However, Nothing is confirmed as of now.
