Marcus Rashford future update at Manchester United

Football Insider have reported that Manchester United and England star Marcus Rashford has told people close to him that he is ready to quite the red devils in the summer transfer window.

Just like Manchester United, Marcus Rashford is also having a very mediocre season. The red devils are already out of all competitions for the season. They remain trophyless for the fifth season running. The club will fight in the Premier League until the end of the season for the 4th spot in the league table.

Marcus Rashford has been one of the best wingers in the world in the past two seasons. But the winger has been playing through different injuries in the past two seasons. But things have not quite gone to plan for the winger since the summer. The England international missed his penalty in the EURO 2020 final against Italy. Rashford underwent surgery for his shoulder injury at the start of the season.

He missed the start of the season after the surgery and rehabilitation process. But since making his comeback from injury, things have not gone quite as planned for the winger. Rashford has not quite looked like his former self. He has made a total of 26 appearances across all competitions. In this time he has recorded five goals and two assists. (stats via Transfermarkt)

Marcus Rashford has made most of his appearances on the right flank under Ralf Rangnick. The winger does not look comfortable playing on the right flank. He seems to have lost his ability to take on players and he does not look fit at all. Reports now suggest that the winger is looking to end his stint in the red side of Manchester. European giants the likes of PSG and Barcelona are all interested in the winger’s services.

Wayne Rooney’s verdict on Marcus Rashford and Manchester United

According to The Sun, talking during a black-tie event on Saturday night, Wayne Rooney said:

“To get the record and be Manchester United’s highest goal scorer, it is massive. But I hope the record is broken.

“What I hope is that Marcus Rashford gets his head out of his a**e and goes and breaks that record. He’s a Manchester lad.” The strong claims for Rashford to re-evaluate his situation will certainly be heard by the forward, though whether it is enough for him to continue at United remains to be seen.
