Mark Schwarzer requests Chelsea to go and sign the Arsenal left out man

Tottenham

Mark Schwarzer tells Chelsea to sign the Arsenal player who is currently on the bench. Mark thinks the addition of Aaron Ramsdale to Chelsea as their backup goalkeeper will be a great option. The 25-year old England international is a second-choice to David Raya so far this season. However, the quality of Ramsdale is well known in the Premier League. TalkSPORT also reported that the Blues are weighing up a potential transfer for Gunners’ man for winter. While discussing Ramsdale’s position, Schwarzer claims that a move to Stamford Bridge will be a match made in heaven for both parties.

“It’s a bit of a headscratcher to me, because he’s a top-quality goalkeeper who is good with his feet, great on his line and who can command his 18-yard box with ease. And yet his time at the Emirates is up and he must leave for the good of his own career, his wellbeing and his quality. He needs to be playing week in, week out. He’s far too good to be sitting on the bench as a bit-part player at Arsenal.

For me, there’s an obvious destination, too. For all the money Chelsea have spent on new players, their goalkeeping department is not up to scratch and their current situation proves it. Robert Sanchez is out injured, meaning an inexperienced Djordje Petrovic, who is talented, is between the sticks. Even with a fit Sanchez back, Ramsdale supersedes both of them.

Chelsea should trust the view of Mark Schwarzer

The addition of Aaron will definitely be surplus for the Blues. He is on the same level as of Robert Sanchez and also possesses some leadership skills. Therefore, a transfer will surely boost there goalkeeper options as well as a quality leader in the squad. On his day, Ramsdale is certainly much better than Robert and Petrovic. He is also good with his feet and can even be a starter at Stamford Bridge. Although, he is not of that quality which Chelsea currently looking for their no.1. Be sure to keep an eye on the developing situation and the saga which it will carry.
