The Blues will definitely want to sell the player to avoid letting him go on a free transfer deal. Mount’s contract with Chelsea comes to an end soon. Therefore they would want to make a progress in the renewal of contract front. The player had been an important player under the management of Frank Lampard and Tuchel. But have now lost his impact under Graham Potter. However Potter have publicly shown how much he appreciate Mason Mount in the Chelsea team.

Mason Mount could leave Chelsea in summer

If Mason Mount does leave the club this summer, there will be some drama surrounding it. There will be stories and rumors regarding the transfer. There might also be some blame game going on. Both parties will try to blame the other for the transfer outcomes. Rumors are already circulating regarding this matter. News outlets have reported that Mason Mount have apparently asked for a crazy £300,000 a week wage. Many Chelsea fans now wants him to be gone if this news is to be true. With him just asking this crazy amount is enough to start an argument between the fans. However new reports also claim that the crazy ask is only a rumor. And therefore the player is not stalling the contract for that reason.

The main reason is said to be the length of the deal. Mason Mount doesn’t seem too keen to be tied down to the Blues for a long period. The Chelsea ownership wants to tie down the young players for a long time. And Mount seems determined to have it end before his prime. He doesn’t want to be tied down to the club till he is too old to get another big deal.
