Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino warns Enzo Fernandez and Moises Caicedo to push their game against Everton. Chelsea will travel to Merseyside to face Everton and Mauricio has some advice for his players before the game. Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez are two of the most expensive players in Chelsea’s history. Though, they are yet to justify their prices with their display. The duo is facing a heavy criticism especially after the midweek game against Manchester United.

Seaking to the Evening Standard, the Argentine manager has asked the South American duo to show some grit and determination on Sunday.

The relationship between them needs to improve, between them and individually.

They are young. The expectation is massive when you arrive. It’s not only the individual expectation but the collective expectation at a club like Chelsea. It is not easy, arriving not in the best place to perform quickly because they need to be part of the solution. They are not the cherry on the cake.

When you arrive in a team in a building process and you’re young with not too much experience, even if you have good quality and people can see the club paid big money and only for that you need to perform.

Chelsea will be happy with the return of Conor Gallagher as well who will be back after serving a one-game suspension. Chelsea’s midfield was clearly ineffective against United and Mauricio should also take some blame on his shoulder. He should have made some instant decisions after assessing the situation but he failed. He can make an excuse of the absentees like Gallagher, Lavia and Lesley Ugochukwu that night. However, these things should be tackled as soon as possible if the Blues want to get back to their standards.
