Football Pundit Tam McManus believes that Moises Caicedo have a ridiculous price tag. Brighton have set a price tag of £90m for Arsenal target Moises Caicedo. It was reported earlier this month that Arsenal are still interested in the player and will try to sign him in summer. However the player have recently signed a new contract with Brighton. The Gunners are not the only club to be interested in the player. Moises Caicedo have gained interest from the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea. The Seagulls have set the price for the player is quite high. However clubs like Liverpool and Chelsea will have no problem with it. Brighton rejected Arsenal’s bid in January. It is likely that the Gunner would try again. Sources suggest that the player wants to move to a top tier team. Furthermore he even made his wishes public during the January transfer window.

Brighton have set a price tag of £90m for Moises Caicedo

While speaking to a news outlet McManus have claimed that the price Brighton are asking for Moises Caicedo is absolutely unbelievable. Furthermore he does not think that Moises Caicedo player would improve the Arsenal starting lineup. McManus claimed “The money in England is absolutely ridiculous, unbelievable – £90million for a Brighton player. I don’t think he’s any better than what Arsenal already have. To be honest I look at Xhaka who’s been revived under Arteta – he’s been very, very good. I thought he was on his way out.” He further went on, “Thomas Partey and Martin Odegaard complete their midfield – Caicedo doesn’t play ahead of any of them for me, and then they have Jorginho too. I think for that sort of money Arsenal need somebody who is going to come in and improve the team immediately.

“They were talking around half that price before the contract was signed, so now he’s pledged his future to Brighton I’d walk away from negotiations if I was Arsenal.“

If Arsenal were to pay that much for Moises Caicedo, they would end up breaking their own club record. Furthermore they would obviously weigh up if he is worth that much or not. If not then Arsenal should just move on from the player.
