IPL franchise Mumbai Indians are all set to take their uncapped Indian players on a tour of the UK.

Here, they will be playing a minimum of 10 T20 games against various counties over a three-week period.

This will give the Indian players some much-needed exposure before the start of the next domestic season.

Mumbai Indians’ head coach Mahela Jayawardene will also be present to oversee the progress of the players.

Some of the players who have been picked for the tour are Tilak Verma, Kumar Kartikeya, Ramandeep Singh and Hrithik Shokeen.

Arjun Tendulkar and South Africa’s Dewald Brevis too will join this camp.

A source said that it is a great opportunity for the younger crop of Indian players to get some form of competitive cricket.

Mumbai Indians had a forgettable IPL 2022 season and so have started their practice in earnest for the next edition.

The source also revealed that as this isn’t a revenue-generating trip, so they don’t need the permission of the BCCI.

Permission from the BCCI is only required if the team is playing exhibition matches against other T20 franchises across the world.
