Manchester United could afford to buy Kylian Mbappe, if new owners takeover the club, journalist Steve Bates has told GIVEMESPORTS.
United could be one of the few club in Europe, who could afford Mbappe in the summer, if Qatar takeover rumours become true. The Red Devils were put up to sale in November by current owner The Glazer Group and there multiple intrested buyers in the market.
According to reports, Qatari Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and Sir Jim Ratcliffe could make a second offer to buy Manchester United this week. Reports suggests they will increase the initial offer of £4.5bn made last month.
Meanwhile Football Insider sources suggests that New Owners at Old Trafford could make move for Mbappe in the summer because they want to win over the United fans.
While speaking on the matter, Steve Bates told GiveMeSports:-
“We know that because of the money he is on from the contract signed with PSG, whatever deal is done will cost huge money if he just decided to leave Paris in the summer.
“It’s money that new Qatari owners at Manchester United could only provide. I think the cost of that would rule Liverpool out.
“I would guess it would probably only put Manchester City and Manchester United in the frame in terms of the Premier League.”
MBAPPE WILL BE GREAT ADDITION FOR UNITED
Mbappe is one of the best players in Europe and he will be great addition to Ten Hag’s squad next season. The World Cup Winner will be a complete game-changer at Old Trafford and new owners would be sure to get the club’s fanbase on their side with this impressive signing.
However, PSG will look to keep the striker in their plans for future as they extended his contract last summer. Moreover, Mbappe can be termed as “untouchable”. While other clubs will still try to pursue him in the summer.
