Despite injury issues, Chelsea secures the services of N’golo Kante for further two seasons.

According to The Sun, Kante has agreed on a new deal with the Blues. The French midfielder will increase his stay at Stamford Bridge.

It’s a positive sign for manager Graham Potter after back-to-back 3 wins for his team and Chelsea qualified for the Champions League Quarter Finals.

Potter gave news about Kante’s availability for Chelsea’s clash against Everton:-

“There is a chance for him to be in the squad,

“It would be the first time [since Potter took charge] so it’s fantastic. Managers before me have spoken very highly of N’Golo because he’s a top, top player.

“He’s been a huge miss to us. That’s not to say the other players haven’t given absolutely everything because they have, but N’Golo Kante is N’Golo Kante. A top player.

“It’s great for us he’s back. We need to be mindful of the fact he’s had a long injury. We need to be mindful of the fact he’s had a long injury and we need to take the next steps to get him up to speed in the Premier League, which is what we’ll do.”

Kante, when he is fit, is the mainstay at Chelsea’s midfield and this deal will allow this situation again in the future. His presence in the middle of the pitch will be crucial for the Blues success in the future. Him partnering with new signing Enzo Fernandez will be lethal for other teams. The new deal will also comfort the player as his future will be now secured.
