As reported earlier, the Magpies are looking to further strengthen their attack in order to be absolutely ready for Champions League football next season. A few players are reported to be already on Eddie Howe’s radar.

According to The Boot Room, the Magpies are very keen on bringing an ‘electric’ winger into their side. That’s one of the reasons why Zaha has been strongly linked to Newcastle this summer. The toons reportedly want a fast-paced winger, who is a strong ball carrier and dribbler and is also lethal infront of the goal. Even though Zaha has all these qualities, age is a big factor because of which this move might not happen. Therefore, Newcastle are looking for alternatives in which Nico Williams has emerged as a great option.

He had an impressive season last season where he started 36 games and clocked a G/A of 10. He is an impressive player with amazing qualities that you would find in great wingers. Nico is just 20 years old and has a lot of potential, therefore not just Newcastle, but alot of big clubs maybe looking for a move for Nico Williams.

With Willams, you don’t just get a young talented player. His ability to play on both the wings makes him versatile as well. He was even seeing playing as a striker in some games for both Bilbao and the Spain U21s.

Apart from his versatility, he possesses amazing qualities for a winger. His pace and dribbling skills makes him unstoppable during counter attacks. This is a big similarity that he has to Wilfried Zaha. On a lot of occasions in many games, Nico was seen as the player leading Bilbao’s counter attacks, even directing his teammates to lead a successful attack. Despite him looking to be a good choice for Newcastle, there is no official news of any kind of contract from the club to Nico. However, the decision to sign a winger still looks keen with more updates regarding the situation to follow.
