Nizakat Khan, the skipper of Hong Kong has admitted himself being a Virat Kohli fan ahead of their clash on 31st August. He even expressed his urge to see Virat Kohli back in form.
Kohli’s recent form in international cricket has indeed been a hot topic foe discussion. Kohli failed to smash a single century in both red and white ball cricket 2019. However, the 33 years old has been patient enough with the bat on Sunday against Pakistan. He scored a steady 35 from 34 balls. However, he couldn’t turn it into a big one.
While speaking to News 24, Khan praised Kohli. According to him, Kohli did well against Pakistan admitting himself as a fan of the later. The Hong Kong captain even prayed for Kohli’s comeback.
Khan said,
“I am a big fan of Virat Kohli, he played well against Pakistan, we really want him to come back in form & score lots of runs.”
Will go with positive body language: Nizakat Khan
However, the last time, both India and Hong Kong faced each other, was a tight one. It was on the 2018 Asia Cup, where India defeated Hong Kong by 20 runs. However, Khan is pretty confident about his team ahead of Wednesday’s encounter. He believes, T-20 format is unpredictable and can offer any result.
Khan said,
“We lost by just 20 runs when we last faced India at the Asia Cup in 2018. Anything can happen in a T20 game. You don’t when a bowler can deliver a good spell, or a batter hits some quick runs in a couple of overs.”
The Hong Kong captain moreover also said that they will maintain their positive image on the field.
Regarding this, Khan said,
“We have seen in the past too how even the top sides have lost against associate teams. We will go with positive body language and will stick to our process.”
