New Chelsea player Noni Madueke is being compared to former Blues player Arjen Robben. Arjen Robben was one of Chelsea’s ace players in the past. A former coach of Noni Madueke have compared the player to the Dutch maestro. The player had emerged as one of the best wingers in the Dutch League. Furthermore, he was one of the flourishing players in PSV Eindhoven. However, Chelsea saw the opportunity and snapped him up for a transfer fee of £ 29 million. The Blues made the official announcement of Noni Madueke last week. He is yet to make his official debut for Chelsea but he could feature in Chelsea’s next match against Fulham.

Noni Madueke is deemed to continue Arjen Robbin’s legacy in the Chelsea team

Noni Madueke have already been tipped off as a successor for Arjen Robbin. Saul Isaksson-Hurst have coached Noni Madueke for the last 20 years now and believes that Chelsea have git a jackpot with the player. He commented,

“He is top, for me he is one of the best young forward players in Europe, easily. A lot of focus has been on Cody Gakpo at PSV because of the World Cup but Noni is up there. He is one of the best, if not the best, because he is so dynamic, so strong in one-vs-ones, so technically gifted, so athletic. Really, he’s got the full package. Noni is an attacking wide player who likes to play on the right as an inverted winger, so one of his ‘super skills’ is cutting in on his left side, like Arjen Robben, and shooting from the edge of the box.”

The coach further continues,

“We worked a lot on challenging and trying to develop his ‘super skill’ but I also talked to him about the space it opens up on his right side, on his weaker foot, which he has done a lot of work on himself over the last few years. You see when Robben played, defenders would overcompensate to make sure he didn’t get them on the inside, but that opens up a lot of space on the outside, and we worked a lot on that, going in and then going out again, onto his weaker foot.”

The player could start in the next match for Chelsea

It still remains to be seen how Noni Madueke will fare in the Chelsea team. Graham Potter could use him on the right wing. Whereas the left wing could be handled by new signing Mykhaylo Mudryk. Potter hopes that the Blues fans would soon be able to see how good the player is. He is still young and is believed to improve more with time. Madueke could make his official debut in Chelsea’s match against Fulham. The fans are excited to see what the young player has got in store.
