Nottingham Forest are reportedly in talks to sign midfielder Remo Freuler. The midfielder currently plays for Atlanta in Serie-A.

However, the two clubs have not agreed on a fee for the midfielder. Although, both sides are keen to come to an agreement for the midfielder.

According to reports, Nottingham Forest are keen to seal an agreement for Remo Freuler. They are now negotiating with both the player and Atlanta. The report also adds that the newly promoted Premier League side is willing to offer a salary of €2m-a-year (£1.6m) or £30k-per-week to sign Atalanta midfielder Freuler. However, the player is yet to make a decision.

The clubs are also yet to come to an agreement over the fee. However, the Italian side is willing to sell the midfielder. It is because Freuler is not in the manager’s plans. The player is valued at around £25m. However, it is unclear whether Nottingham Forest will spend big on a midfielder. Although, it is clear that the midfielder will get more chances with the newly promoted side.

Forest lost their first game in the Premier League 2-0 against Newcastle United. In that defeat, the Reds struggled to gain possession of the ball. They were totally outplayed in the midfield area. Sometimes, they could not even manage small passes with each other. As a result, Freuler could be the perfect midfielder for Steve Copper and the team to help them achieve safety.

The Swiss midfielder is described as a great talent and he is known for his hard-working attitude in the midfield. He will help Nottingham Forest keep the hold of the ball and strengthen the possession. He has managed 73.2 touches per game and has won 57% of his duels. These are attributes Steve Cooper is looking for in a midfielder.

With all that said, Remo Freuleer would be the perfect signing for Nottingham Forest. However, it remains to be seen whether the newly promoted is ready to pay big money for him. They have already made an insane amount of signings this season. However, they are looking to make more signings.
