Ahead of the Asia-Cup clash between India vs Pakistan, Shadab Khan, VC of Pakistan team as his say. In the Asia Cup, potentially the arch-rivals can meet three times, if both make the final.
Pakistan’s Vice-Captain Shadab Khan talked about Indian star batter Virat Kohli. The leg-spinner was all in praise for the Indian batter. He also recalled the iconic innings of Virat Kohli in T20 WC in MCG. Notably, it was Kohli’s unconquered 53-ball 82, which steered the Men in Blue to a magnificent win from the jaws of defeat against Pakistan.
Shadab Khan says,
“He (Virat Kohli) is a world-class player, definitely. You have to plan a lot to face him. The kind of batsman that Virat Kohli is, the way he has performed against us, even in the last match at the (2022 T20) World Cup, I don’t think that if any other batsman in the world was in that situation, could have done that to our bowling line-up. And, the beauty of it is that he can do this at any stage and at any time,“
Virat Kohli has a stellar record against arch-rivals Pakistan. He averages unparallel 81.33 against Pakistan. However, the stellar innings against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup could be deemed as arguably one of his best knocks of all time.
Shadab Khan is looking forward to Ind-Pak
India to face Pakistan on 2nd September at Kandy. All eyes will be this mouth watering contest. However, Shadab Khan is confident about his team’s preparation and he is looking forward to the contest. While Pakistan are riding high on the back of a mammoth 238-run win against Nepal in their first match, a victory against the Men in Blue will further cement their spot in the Super Four.
Also, team India will also be looking to open their campaign will a win against solid Pakistan team. Cricket fans all over the world cannot wait for the marquee event.
