Parthiv Patel suggests India take the 2007 T20 World Cup approach

Former India wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel recently opened a discussion on Twitter.

In it, he asked whether India should take inspiration from the 2007 ICC T20 World Cup.

When India won the inaugural T20 World Cup in South Africa, they had taken a new-look team.

Big names like Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly made way for young MS Dhoni to lead the Indian team.

The result of this decision proved fruitful as the likes of Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh, RP Singh and Irfan Pathan worked wonders for the team.

So, Parthiv wants the current Indian team to have as many youngsters as possible in the playing XI for the upcoming T20 World Cup Down Under.

On the other hand, India has a perfect start to the T20I series against England.

They have won the first T20I by 50 runs and are leading the series 1-0.

For the second T20I, the big names have returned to the squad.
