Plenty of Problems for Team India

Cricket

Team India is already a strong powerhouse in the world of test cricket. In their quest for world domination, India will nest look to challenge the Proteas in their home. India will surely aim to have their best 11 on the field. It will be quite a daunting task for the selectors with so many players making a strong case for their selection. Be it Shreyas Iyer or Shubman Gill against New Zealand or the likes of Priyank Panchal and Abhimanyu Easwaran in South Africa – who will make the final cut?

Pujara-Rahane out, New faces in?

The senior members of the team Cheteshwar Pujara and vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane are perhaps now the weakest link for Team India. Their inability to maintain consistency is a headache for the team management. The team though has backed the duo for a long, but things might not be great ahead for the upcoming foreign tours.

Jasprit Bumrah is a runaway matchwinner across all formats for India. With him leading the pack of bowlers, India also has the very dependable Mohammed Shami whose ability to seam the bowl efficiently is a fatal weapon in India’s armory. Mohammad Siraj is now a star with the red ball after his heroics in Australia and England. But the emergence of speedsters like Prasidh Krishna and Navdeep Saini will definitely aspire to represent India. Their performance in their ongoing series against South Africa will compel the selector to have an eye on them.

World Test Championship : Can India lift the Cup this time?

India overall has all its bases covered, a strong batting lineup, and a bowling unit that is capable to pick 20 wickets on any kind of pitch anywhere. India missed out on winning the inaugural ICC WTC trophy narrowly. Captain Virat Kohli with Head Coach Rahul Dravid are definitely committed to bringing India glory in their current campaign.
