Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is eager to unlock Mykhailo Mudryk’s real potential in this campaign as his teammate identifies immense potential in him.
This season, Pochettino will love to give Mudryk a fresh start again in Chelsea colours this campaign. The Ukrainian joined the football club from Shaktar Donetsk for a big money move back in January.
During this pre-season tour at the United States, Mudryk has been in sensational form. His teammate Ben Chilwell is hugely impressed with his teammates performance and the defender suggests that the Ukrainian is not fully unleashed.
The second-half of last season, Mudryk has been quite shambolic, as he went 17 goalless apperances across all competitions for Chelsea. His former club chief Darijo Srna once compared him with the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Neymar.
However, his current team-mate Ben Chilwell believes that “sky is the limit” for Mudryk. The Leicester City man even took up the responsibility to pull to the youngster to the another side in the hope of inspiring him. Chilwell told The Athletic:-
“I just see endless potential that hasn’t been fulfilled yet.
“I’ve told him he hasn’t fulfilled that yet for one reason or another. I had a conversation with him after training in the changing room, because he’s been on fire the last few days and obviously was on fire in the game against Brighton, and I just said he needs to keep that up now for the whole season.
“His decision-making has been bang-on: when to shoot, when to dribble, when to pass. I just said he needs to continue doing that and have confidence in his ability, that we’re all completely behind him. We all see how good he is, he just needs to keep up what he’s been doing.”

“Always, it is important to score goals and then of course, we are going to try to improve because I think with a little bit more capacity to stay calm maybe we can create more chances and score more goals.”
