Pundit Tim Sherwood claims Tottenham Hotspur new manager Ange Postecoglou has brought the best out of Yven Bissouma in this campaign.
Spurs are currently top of the Premier League Table as it’s their best start to the English top-flight campaign in last 60 years. James Maddinson and Son Heung-Min have been their major stars but Bissouma’s rose has been monumental.
Bissouma joined the North-London club a year back from Premier League rivals Southampton. Many expected him to be an extraordinary signing for Spurs but the Malian International has a difficult debut season.
Antonio Conte didn’t consider him as a regular starter in his squad. Bissouma was also at his best under the Italian’s guidance last season.
Sherwood acknowledges Bissouma’s rise under Postecoglou this season
Speaking on The Kelly and Writhy Show, Sherwood suggests Bissouma was on his way out this summer. But Ange Postecoglou’s arrival this seaso has changed fortunes for the 27-year-old midfielder.
Now Bissouma is one of the regular starters for Tottenham Hotspur this season. He has been an important player for the League leaders and Sherwood claims Postecoglou changes his fortune.
While praising Bissouma for his recent heroics, Sherwood said:-
“Bissouma is a great example for me. Bissouma was on his way out, no one was talking about him anymore being any good.
“ He is more than that. He’s an excellent footballer. He’s showing his attributes now for a manager who wants to put his arm around him, show him some love and really express him in the correct light.
“This manager has got to take an awful amount of credit.”
Tottenham Hotspur have been incredible under their manager this season. The North-London club is so far unbeaten in the Premier League as they’re comfortably sitting at the top the table.
