Reports have emerged that there was a certain lack of respect for Graham Potter within the Chelsea camp. The Blues sacked Potter just a day after their loss to Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge, This eventually led to them dropping in the bottom half of the table. This was the reason that Boehly, the owner of Chelsea made the big decision.

According to The Independent, the players of Chelsea never really took Potter with seriousness. Moreover, this news has emerged days after the sack of the Englishman which suggests that there were some problems within the camp. Potter was finding it difficult to improve the performances of Chelsea on the pitch and their poor run of form in the premier league eventually led to his sack.

Potter joked about by the Chelsea squad

The poor results that were being achieved by Potter with the amount of talent at his disposal made it very difficult for Todd Boehly to keep on sticking with the Englishman. It appears that Players of Chelsea never really were in favour of project that Potter had brought with him from Brighton.

Moreover, the lack of respect will have made things very difficult for him to get the best out of his players. Now, The Blues are in pursuit for a new manager with important tie against Madrid in the Champions League coming thick & fast. The managing staff of Chelsea have already shortlisted some candidates for the job.

Lastly, the list includes some big names like Luis Enrique, Julian Nagelsmann and Frank Lampard. Chelsea currently are in talks with all three of these managers who are currently out of jobs. Fans of the blues will be folding their fingers and hoping that their club manages to make a proper decision and appoints a manager who takes them to glory in whatever’s left of the season.
