Premier League Game Week 6: Team of the Week

The Premier League game week 6 has ended, and here we bring you the team of the game week 6. But before that let us get a brief look over the results of matchday six. Starting of the week there were two big games, as Chelsea faced Manchester City and Manchester United played against Aston Villa. The match between both the blues was won by city by only one goal which was scored by Gabriel Jesus. While Manchester United had their first loss this season against Aston Villa by a scoreline of 1-0.

Moving on Leicester City played Burnley for a 2-2 draw, the two goals for the foxes were scored by Jamie Vardy. Everton playing against Norwich City had a 2-0 scoreline with Everton coming on top. Leeds United are continuing their winless streak as they were defeated against West Ham United. Newcastle United also following the same winless streak had a 1-1 draw against Watford.

While one of the exciting matches this season was held this week as newly-promoted Brentford faced Liverpool. And after an exciting match the game finished with a 3-3 scoreline. Following this result, Liverpool are the only undefeated team till now and currently sits on top of the table. The wolves playing against Southampton won the match by 1-0 from a brilliant assist from Jose Sa and scorer Raul Jimenez.

The matchday six saw another clash of titans as Arenal faced Tottenham Hotspur, and gunners came up on top. Arsenal after beating Spurs have a three-win streak, before which they had a three-losing streak. The gunners really thrashed Spurs as they went on a three-goal lead in the first half, while Spurs only scored 1 goal in the match. Following which the struggling Arsenal side had a 3-1 win the London derby. And the last match of week 6 was between Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion which was a draw.

Premier League Team of the Week: Game Week 6

Goalkeeper: Jose Sa (Wolves)

Before Wolves faced Southampton, the goalkeeper of the week would have been going to Emiliano Martinez for his performance against United. But Wolves goalkeeper Jose Sa took the spot after a great performance this week. The Portuguese was a bit shaky in the first half with some mistakes. But redeemed himself in the second with some brilliant saves and one brilliant assist. Jose Sa assisted the only goal scored in the match as he unleashed a long ball Raul Jimenez, who scored his first goal after his injury return. Thus, Jose becomes the Goalkeeper for Premier League game week 6.

Right Back: Joel Veltman (Brighton & Hove Albion)

Brighton was saved from a defeat against Crystal place as they were losing the game until the last minutes. But all thanks to Joel Veltman who assisted a great goal for Neal Maupay in 90+5 minutes of the injury time. Apart from assisting a goal the 24-year-old also had a great game in the defence. As the dutchman had most the winning tackles (5) and duels (11) won in the match.

Center Back: Kortney Hause (Aston Villa)

The 26-year-old had a great game against Manchester United as he dealt with Cristiano Ronaldo’s attack and scored a late winner. The game in the 88th minute Aston Villa were awarded a free-kick in the United which was nicely taken by Douglas Luiz. And converting the curling free-kick into a goal was a diving header from Kortney Hause who just played his second game.

Center Back: Ben White (Arsenal)

The new Arsenal signing didn’t have a good start at his new club, but he is surely grabbing it now following his performance against Tottenham Hotspur. The 23-year-old stepped up in a big game like London Derby as he dealt with Spurs threat of Harry Kane. While his crucial interceptions and long balls to the forward was more appreciating.

Left-Back: Joao Cancelo (Manchester City)

The Portuguese had a great game against the current European Champions Chelsea, as he helped his side beat them by 1-0. Playing in the left-back, Cancelo is currently one of the best right-footed LBs. While his performance to keep Romelu Lukaku quiet in the match is an example of it. And his assist for Gabriel Jesus goal so more than to prove what a talented left-back he is. Apart from assisting the only goal of the match, Cancelo created three great chances of scoring.

Right Midfield: Bukayo Saka (Arsenal)

The 20-year-old had a great game against Tottenham Hotspur in the North London derby as he had put on a man-of-the-match performance. Bukayo Saka assisted the opening goal for Arsenal in the 12th minute of the game. While the youngster himself scored the third goal for gunners in the 34th minute. Apart from that Saka created 4 chances, had 3 successful tackles and 7 recoveries.

Central Midfield: Vitaly Janelt (Brentford)

We saw one of the best matches this season as Brentford hold Liverpool for an exceptional 3-3 draw. And some of the credit for the bee’s side goes to  Vitaly Janelt who was great in the midfield for Brentford. The 23-year-old was also on the scoresheet as scored the second goal for Brentford in the 63rd minute. While he finished the game with five ariel duels won and two chances created.

Left Midfield: Emile Smith Rowe (Arsenal)

Just like his fellow teammate Bukayo Saka, Smith Rowe also had great match against Tottenham Hotspur, which also is capable of man-of-the-match. The youngster scored the opening goal for Arsenal in the 12th minute, and also set up a goal for Pierre Emerick Aubameyang in 27th minute, showing a brilliant run into the box.

Right Wing: Raul Jimenez (Wolves)

The 30-year-old got his name on the scoresheet after 300 days of returning from being sidelined. He was back after suffering a skull fracture last year and was hoping to be on the scoresheet for the last five games. And getting his first goal this season would definitely boost his confidence for the next games.

Striker: Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)

Jamie Vardy playing against Burnley scored three goals in a 2-2 draw. The Fox forward scored an own goal in the 12th minute giving the lead to Burnley. But in the 27th minute, he equalized the score from a brilliant assist from Youri Tielemans. While he scored his brace for Leicester in the 85th minute. Apart from scoring own goal, Vardy had a good game with his brace and brilliant runs through the Burnley defence.  

Left Wing: Michail Antonio (West Ham United)

Michail Antonio has been in great form this season and continued that against Southampton. The Jamaican scored the winner for Hammers in the last minutes of the match, the goal was assisted by Declan Rice. However, he could have got another one but the goal was disallowed by VAR in the 53rd minute.
